I just found out it was so useful to me!
Have BTsync set up on my 2 Macs, a Synology NAS and now my iPhone. All working smooth as silk, and I have some pretty large files in there ... (7GB .ISOs for example) Could not be happier!! Thanks BTSync team!
Have full control of your files wherever you go. I love the versatility it offers syncing files across Mac, PC and iPhone
Im not just referring to the app, the app itself is pretty good. This HOGS resources, however, and makes it so I have to restart my iPhone 6s Plus (so there should be no problem with hardware). At certain times, with this app installed, the entire phone becomes unresponsive and useless.
The help online is so poorly setup, not at all fluid, difficult to navigate, puts you in a click nightmare, and makes getting started with a pre existing folder set daunting. I have up after an hour and I consider myself a power user.
My folders arent syncing on iPhone. Placeholders appear, progress bar appears but file doesnt download.
Version 2.3.2 •Horrid syncing issues. Indexing does not complete and restarts. • When attempting to download file, progress bar appears for a second then disappears. Files will no longer download! --- A great app with a great support staff! Finally—a P2P option for an essential function of life and business. Issues have had to be worked out, but most seem to have been address fairly quickly once pointed out to support. Also, photo / video thumbnails. Boy, those would be nice! Fixed: The latest update crashes every time I open a folder. Please fix; the app is literally unusable.
This developer is not to be trusted with your data. This app and desktop app will fail you consistently. When it works it works. When it doesnt, well... its your data. Good luck.
See title. A little tricky to set up, but nothing crazy. For security, thats fine. But the local area network file transfers from PC... Incredible.
Sync finally makes it possible to keep whole directories in sync across all my devices. Its like a distributed file system without the compatibility problems.
Very fast and robust so far. Interface is pretty good. Ideal if you have a NAS at home. Running it in FreeNAS (based on FreeBSD) without a hitch so far.
More attractive than other file transfer technologies.
Finally files remain under your control. Forget cloud storage with obvious privacy concerns. More of this, please!!!
